Etsy Purchase!

I have made another etsy purchase! This lovely case is made by the etsy store ChubbyCloud. The owner has graciously worked with me to make a custom case for my Mom's new Kindle Fire she will be receiving for Christmas. I am so excited!

I am almost done with my Christmas shopping and couldn't be more happy about it. It was tough this year because I'm on a tight budget and I usually am able to spoil everyone. But all my gifts so far have either been made by me or purchased on Etsy, so all handmade items! Plus I am supporting all of the handmade artisans out there! Now the only person left is my Lyddy... She's the hardest one!

New Etsy Purchase!

Remember these? I bought them! They are from the Omnia shop on etsy. I am seriously so excited. I have been looking high and low for the perfect flat leather boot and I can't find any that I like, except vintage ones on etsy. So I said why not? I measured and everything and they are the exact same size as my other boots I have. They were pretty expensive for a vintage boot but they are beautiful. I know they will be cherished! I'll post a pick once I receive them.

Minnetonka

I went to DSW today and here is what I found amongst other lovelies...

This is my undercover shot from DSW so I could mms the photo to M to see what she thought. This is where you can find them on their website. They are $90. However, these are still my fav...

Someday. These are $90 as well. I seriously love Minnetonka. If I could have every single pair of their shoes I would be a happy girl. O ya, I found M's pair...

These are called the woodstock. I love these. I am still in shock that she asked for them and its been years. I'm not 100% that this is the color she has because I haven't seen them in F O R E V E R. Wear them Lyd! They are so cute.

Well that's probably enough Minnetonka for one night. I will conclude this post by saying how miraculous it is that these shoes have stood the test of time and have been in style for so many years!

Bravo Minnetonka,

Riz

PS: I would totally be an amazing spokeswoman for their company, just sayin.

PSS: My friend and I were discussing the blog and I was telling her how much I enjoyed it. It's kind of like a journal. There aren't any rules like papers for school or reports for work. You just write what you want, when you want. Thanks blog!

Shoes

I love shoes. One of the few pieces of clothing not affected by weight. Maybe thats why I love them so much. Or maybe I love them because I usually treat them as my accent in an outfit. I usually do one thing that stands out from the rest because I tend to have a pretty plane jane natural style.

So of course my shoe wish list is about a mile long. Here are a few of my favs.

TOMS - Slate Wool Cordones 69$

Minnetonka - Thunderbird II Suede 40$

Minnetonka - Thunderbird Boat Sole (Smooth) 45$

Minnetonka - Thunderbird Suede Boat Sole 40$

Minnetonka - 3 Layer Fringe Boot 90$

Hunter - Hunter Original 125$

Madden Girl Women's Exxtreme 75$

XAPPEAL Dominique 40$

Find of the Century

Minnetonka's for 5 bucks at Goodwill! Omg I can't even contain my excitement. I just jumped to Zappos (btw the only site I order shoes from, free shipping and they ship overnight with free delivery back if you need to exchange or anything, best customer service hands down) to try to find the original price for these shoes. I could only find the Thunderbird version, 50 bucks!

Hands down, find of the century. I cleaned them and they look brand new. The only downside being they're a size 7. I'm more of a 7 1/2 - 8. So they're tight. But I'll shove my feet in these beautiful bad boys for 5 bucks any day.

Wait till you see what else I got... Post coming soon once I doctor them a bit.

Lyd and I have a couple pairs of Minnetonka's. I have I think two pairs, these ones and another pair of mocs I can't find online. M has these boots and these shoes. So jealous of those boots of hers. I haven't seen you wear them in forevs Lyddy, they're so cute! I have been wanting these boots since high school. I can never justify the price though. And the price keeps going up. They used to be 88 now they're 98! So expensive.

Ta Ta for now,

Riz

PS: Tearing up already even reading M's post. It's gunna be a situation in that movie theater.

Recovering Shop-aholic

(My closet, ya right I wish)

Well you see I used to be a bit of a spender. It is still difficult to fight these urges. I think it started when I graduated from High School early and was working full time so I had plenty of mula at my disposal. Also with a lack of anything else to do and my High School size 0 self it seemed like the perfect activity to partake in.

Once college hit along with the freshman 15 (eventhough I commute to college so I shouldn't even have technichally gained 15 lbs, so there comes my theory of college makes you gain weight no matter what, or at least thats what I'm telling myself) (unless you're my sister of course who is similar to a fine wine, gets better with age), I wasn't rolling in the dough anymore and had to cut back on the spending.

So now I just have mental lists of things that I desperately want.

Wish List:
Converses
Van's Lo-pro's
Glass Teapot
High waisted everything, shorts, jeans, skirts.
Schwinn
Ikea everything

Book Worm Update:
In response to my sister. I really enjoyed Three Weeks with my Brother. I unlike her did not have an issue with the beginning. I realized after reading her post today that exactly what happened with her with Stephenie Meyer happened with me with Nicholas sparks. The main male character was now Nicholas Sparks' voice in my head.

I have finished Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin. It was really good. I would highly recommend all of her books.

I am now reading The Witches Daughter by Paula Brackston. Its about a witch who is running from the evils of her past, befriends a young girl and decides to teach her what she knows.

Pinterest:
I am working on getting us a Pinterest. I'll keep you updated!

BodyRock TV:
I have discovered this website called BodyRock.TV. It's really good. I'm going to start doing these workouts. I did my first one today. We will see how it goes.

Tirajeh Travels:
Check out my friend Tirajeh's blog called Tirajeh Travels. It's amazing.

Later Gators,

Rizzo
