The other night I was in a movie watching mood. This is unsual for me, I typically hate to watch movies. I just get bored. But yesterday I watched three in a row! Sweet Home Alabama, Pride and Prejudice (Kiera Knightley version) and What Happens in Vegas.
Now begins the Harry Potter Marathon! I seriously can't wait for the last movie to come out on DVD.
Till next time,
Riz

Over The Weekend...
Man oh man people, if feel like all I do is talk about how busy I am, but holy moly I kinda feel like I can't breathe. But, I did get Saturday off work for the first time in weeks which was really nice. Kitty Daddy and I got up at our leisure and just enjoyed the day.
Kitty Daddy just finished The Green Mile by Stephen King and since I've never seen the movie we watched it over the weekend. Um, waterworks much? The collar of my t shirt was soaked by the end of the movie, so sad.
Also this weekend we started watching some new TV shows. First up, Terra Nova on Fox.

We liked the first episode. It's different, like Jurassic Park meets some kind of survival show with some action thrown in. A keeper so far.
We also tuned into The X Factor last night after much protest on the part of Kitty Daddy.

It's similar enough to Idol to be put into our line up but with enough differences to not be a total de ja vu situation.
And this is what I do with my already limited time instead of studying for my calculus midterm and doing my accounting homework. Graduation cannot come soon enough!

No Impact Man
So our sibling holiday is still underway. We started this day with No. 1 China Buffet, because that's what the cool kids do on Labor Day. Then we went out to blockbuster and rented the documentary "No Impact Man." This documentary was filmed about a guy in New York who lives with his wife and young daughter and decides to live a year with the goal of having less of an impact on the environment. This documentary was fascinating and so inspiring. I can't wait to read his book!
Needless to say after we watched this doc. we were hooked and wanted to watch a bunch more. So long story short we signed up for Netflix. And about an hour later we still aren't watching any. Well actually J is and I'm not. He's watching some war one and that kinda stuff gives me nightmares. PS Netflix gives you a one month free trial and after that its unlimited streaming for 7.99 + tax. Not bad right? We'll see how we like it.

Red Riding Hood
Me and the fam just watched Red Riding Hood starring Amanda Seyfried from Dear John.
I liked it. It wasn't as cheese-tastic as I was expecting. There was some bad acting going on though. And I was surprised because I recognized the majority of the cast. Except of course for this guy...
Umm Hellooo hottie patottie! I'll have me some of that thanks. Two words, Shiloh Fernandez, where have you been all my life?
So anyway this male specimen's hottness kind of made the movie for me.
Add him to my Hollywood hotties list will ya? O ya and along with this guy, idk how I forgot about him...
Hell yes people, that's pecks, I mean becks. Ahem.
O ya, check out Red Riding Hood. It's based on the fairy tale slightly with an interesting twist. I didn't predict the end for once (normally this is a skill of mine). Not at all a thriller though like it is advertised.
Lata gata's,
Riz
PS: What I am loving today =
1. The first Java chip frap via Starbucks no whip no drizzle, of the summer.
2. Pool day with the fam and nobody else at the pool all day!
3. Deli free samples, thanks Kroger.
4. Lyddy and I making plans for our Etsy store!
5. More Goodwill finds! Posts to come.
What I am not loving today =
1. Being woken up at 10:00 am by Kitty.
1. My bodies rejection of my first java chip frap of the summer.
2. Sunburns as a result of the entire day spent at the pool, even with ample coatings of sunblock. O ya and the resulting eye burn and uncomfort.
3. Splitting an ENTIRE block of expensive Gouda cheese with Kitty the second we got home from the grocery store.
4. How expensive Schlack is.
5. All the kitty cats at petco waiting to be adopted and the guilt trip the lady cleaning their crates tried to give us. F you lady, we currently have our own canine circus, and my dog tries to eat grown males, and she's 4 lbs, imagine what she would do to a cat. Ya, just ask poor B.
6. J coming home from being away for a couple of days, going straight into the fridge and pouring himself a glass of my Simply Lemonade. Kitty's list shouldn't have been called a grocery list, it should have been called "J's list." She bought everything for that twerp including squeezits galore, his favorite pretzels, and arnie palmer drink mixes just to name a few. So what does he do? Opens the fridge and pours himself a big honking glass of the only thing that was bought for me in mind, my Simply Lemonade, that I already have to beg Kitty for due to its expense. Figures.
7. Not starting any of the shit I have due Monday and Sunday night.
8. Trying to make this list shorter than the other, and failing.

Blue Valentine
It's about two people who fall in love and then down the line somewhere things get screwy and they have to decide whether they want to stay together or not.
Overall I would say it is sad and very real. It was kind of refreshing actually considering alot of movies just show the "good" times in relationships when in reality there are the good, bad, and ugly times. I liked it, the more I think about it, I really liked it.
Ryan Gosling is so hot. I hate the word hot but there is no other word, well other than sexy-as-hell. He is so hot I am jealous of whoever he is dating. Now I am the jealous type (unfortunately) but come on he's a celeb thats ridick you say? Yes, yes it is. BUT HE IS SO HOT. K I'm done.
How awkward are those sex scenes for celebrities? That's all I can think about when I watch them. I think; "Are they actually naked? They look like they're naked. How do their significant others feel about these scenes? What happens if they get turned on while they're doing these scenes? Who is it more awkward for during filming? Cast or crew?" Hat's off to these people. I couldn't do it. I would be beet red blushing. Or feeling like I was doing a porno with tons of people around. So awkward. Then how it screws with your head. If you started to have feelings for your co-star, wouldn't you be like ummm I don't know if I am feeling this way because of the movie or if I really like this person. Awful.
On that note. I am still stalling. I'm at the point where I'm like it's only the rough draft and only 5 points.... Don't you hate that? Then my buddy in the class isn't going so that's even less motivating.
We also have The Rite. I really want to see it but I can't watch it alone. Too scary. Isn't Anthony Hopkins like the best scary movie dude? The answer is YES.
Anyway, tootaloo

PS: Where my sista at? Where you at?
Do we remember this video? Classic.
PSS: Does everyone else swear in blogs? I always re-read what I write for typos etc. and always swap out my swears for more proper language. I'm wondering if I should do that or not. It just seems more respectful but isn't a blog about writing what you want? And if I think it as a swear, it should probably stay that way, right? I don't know, jury's out on that one. I wonder if anyone else out there in the blogging world ponders this.
